is a low flat rate - and currently ONLY within the contiguous 48 USA states.
HOWEVER, expedited shipping requires an additional charge.
Also, I prefer to recycle shipping materials whenever possible.
*** SIZING...
Garment measurements are indicated for each listing. I recommend comparing these measurements to an item you already own that fits you well. If the fit is noted as Dropped Shoulder, that means the shoulder is about 1 or 2 inches down from the shoulder's edge. In general, these are women's sizes:
"SMALL" - Size 6-8
"MEDIUM" - Size 10-12
"LARGE" - Size 14-16
*** SWEATERS:
Because I source small quantities of high-quality yarn from a variety of people and places, the yarn-content is a mix of weights, fibers, countries, plies, etc.
‼️ I do not re-purpose yarn, and I do NOT launder the finished product. However, I soak and "block" portions of each project as I go along.
‼️ SWEATERS MUST EITHER BE SPOT-CLEANED or HAND-WASHED IN COLD WATER and DRIED FLAT.
*** COATS - UPCYCLED and REPURPOSED FABRICS...
Please be aware that some vintage quilts are quite fragile, and you may see some discoloration and imperfections. I do my best to work around or repair these flaws.
All coat project fabrics are first machine washed and dried - including vintage quilts. Once I see what's left after this "fabric test," I proceed with design, repairs, and construction. The finished product is again washed, dried, then photographed. Therefore, you will see exactly what you will be purchasing, with no surprises.
Due to the delicate nature of vintage fabrics, I recommend hand washing or spot cleaning. However, when machine laundering is required, turn the item inside out and use the Delicate Cycle with a mild detergent, fluff for 10 minutes in the dryer, then hang to dry.
*** COATS - CONSTRUCTION, UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED:
▶️ Any required repairs are customized to match the style of the original quilt
▶️ Seams and buttonholes are bound, unless otherwise noted
▶️ Coats are either lined by me, or lined with the quilt's original backing - and sometimes both. In addition, many of my linings are made of a coordinated mix of upcycled fabrics.
▶️ Coat-cuffs are made of coordinated fabrics and are at least 5" deep up the interior sleeve
▶️ Labels and hang-loops are customized to match each coat
▶️ Portions of the product may be hand-sewn, and sometimes made "intentionally imperfect" 😊
